About Your Arizona Clinical Supervisor

Hello! I am Cynthia Djengue, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) authorized to provide clinical supervision in Arizona. My supervision meets the standards set by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, including documentation, ethical practice, and scope of supervision required for licensure. I have 30 years of social work experience, including educating social workers at the bachelor and master level.

I am certified in MBSR, Negotiation Skills (Harvard), Integrative Coaching, Heart Math, ADHD Coaching, Reiki, and have advanced training (levels 1-4 + Intensive) in Brainspotting.

Expect a warm, structured, and collaborative space grounded in attachment, somatic awareness, and ADHD‑certified care. We’ll deepen case conceptualization, ethics, and boundaries; strengthen notes/treatment plans; and build sustainable rhythms to prevent burnout, so you grow clinically and professionally. I have previous work experience in teaching community college, bachelor’s students, and graduate students. I work with SPPs, as well as individual supervision. Group supervision is available at various times of the year.

What Arizona Clinical Supervision Includes

  1. Focus: Case reviews, ethics, documentation, outcomes, and reflective practice. Access to your EHR will be required.

  2. Observation: Live/recorded observation when clinically appropriate, with client consent and BBHE‑aligned documentation.

  3. On site Visitation - Required for SPPs every 60 days, Travel arrangements to be discussed at time of contract.

  4. Cadence: We’ll meet regularly; at a minimum, monthly supervision is required during months with client contact. For SPPs, once every 20 hours worked.

Special Considerations

Each situation is different, depending on where you are located in the Phoenix valley, and what type of practice you are in.

  • A supervised private practice is an individual who works for themselves, has an LLC, and accepts private pay. I do not offer billing for insurance plans.

  • Individual Supervision is provided for LMSW’s working at a private or community practice. Group Supervision may be available for 2 or more supervisees who will meet face to face or virtually. Please review Board rules for these requirements.

  • Please note that travel and documentation review may not be included in pricing and will need to be negotiated. Charges will be considered for both travel time and distance, as well as supervisee documentation for those seeing more than 20 clients.

  • I am an experienced social worker, graduated in 1997 from the #8 social work school in the nation. I have worked in many different fields of social work. I know what it feels like to get your license for the first time. We walk a tightrope between clients, policies and rules, and insurance companies that require documentation to be clinically correct. Even with private pay, you have ethical and professional decisions to make continually. I will teach you, guide you, answer your questions. I am timely with my own documentation. I research a lot, and ask questions if I do not have the answer. My style is relational, real, and compassionate. I used to teach social work for college students and feel I bring that experience to supervision.
