ADHD-Informed Couples
Therapy Online
You love each other. The patterns are the problem.
I help couples in Arizona, Iowa, and Oregon understand how ADHD, emotional reactivity, unequal mental load, and missed follow-through can create recurring conflict, so you can communicate more clearly, repair more effectively, and feel like a team again.
Couples therapy for partners navigating ADHD, emotional reactivity, and the cycles that keep you stuck.

Who This Is For
Maybe one of you has ADHD and the other has spent years feeling like the default parent, the one who remembers everything, the one who holds it all together. Maybe you both have ADHD and the chaos feels mutual but unmanageable. Maybe nobody has a diagnosis but the same fight keeps happening, different words, same pain.
You are not here because your relationship is broken. You are here because something real is worth fighting for, and you are tired of fighting each other to get there.
What we actually work on
In our sessions we slow things down enough to see what is actually happening. Underneath most couples conflict is a nervous system doing its job, protecting, bracing, shutting down. We work with that, not around it.
Specifically we focus on how ADHD traits like impulsivity, time blindness, and emotional flooding affect both partners, how early attachment wounds show up as criticism, withdrawal, or walking on eggshells, how to have the conversations you keep avoiding, and how to repair after conflict instead of letting it accumulate.
My approach is somatic and relational. That means we pay attention to what is happening in your body and between you, not just what you are saying.
“Cynthia’s approach resonated with both my husband and I. We’ve been using the strategies that she suggested to us, and our communication has been much better.”
